Abstract

|
Two cases of methemoglobinemia due to accidental ingestion of DDS was reported.
On physical examination, cardiac or pulmonic diseases couldn´t be detected, but cyanosis was remarkable on their lips, cheeks, fingers, and oral mucosa.
Methemoglobin was determined, the results of which were 25%, and 30.4% of total hemoglobin respectively.
Review of literzture was made briefly.
